open your chest to relax your back

Working at a computer day after day can leave the upper body slouched with the shoulders rolled forward and head forward which strains the neck. I enjoy this easy stretch to counterbalance "computer posture". Take a bath towel, fold it in half then roll it up tightly. Sit on the floor and place the roll just behind your butt, then lie back so the towel rests on the length of your spine. Let your arms fall open to your sides. Breathe deeply and allow your shoulders and arms to fall towards the floor. This should be a gentle stretch across the front of your chest. Rest for several minutes and let gravity do the work for you.
